Red Barn Computers is pleased to announce that they will be exhibiting at the SC08 (Super Computing 2008) Conference in Austin, Texas in November. The Super Computing Conference is the premier international conference on high performance computing (HPC), networking, storage and analysis, and it attracts scientists, researchers, software developers, network engineers, policy makers, corporate managers, CIOs and IT administrators from universities, industry and government from all over the world. As a vendor of high performance computing products, this is a great opportunity for Red Barn to showcase their products and services.

October 2008
Red Barn Technology was chosen by the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University to supply 64 High Performance Compute nodes to an existing research compute cluster. These nodes were unique in that they contained two enterprise class servers contained within a single 1U chassis.

August 2008
Duke University awarded Red Barn Technology group a contract to build a custom computer cluster to power a 48 display media wall. Controlled by a single master node, each of the 12 Slave nodes will power 4 independent displays. This project is a collaboration of numerous departments within Duke University. Red Barn was chosen because of their ability to meet the unique demands of the project as well as a very tight time line. The project was delivered and deployed ahead of schedule.

Red Barn Computers has been invited to attend the 3rd annual Cornell University IT Forum in June of this year. February 2008
Red Barn Technology Group has been chosen by University of Maryland Medical School to provide a High Performance Super Computing Cluster. The super computing cluster will be used by the School of Pharmacology for computer aided drug design. The computer cluster is based on the AMD Quad Core Opteron and contains 160 processing cores with 160Gb of memory, across 20 systems and a master control system. This cluster will be one of the first Quad Core Opteron clusters on the East Coast.
